I have developed (sticky) notes for each of our core content (state standards). I made these in 2.5 and for some reason if I open the file where they are stored and click on one, 3.0 tells me it is not a valid file. However, if I open the file from within 3.0 (notes, and then open from) it will work. Many of my schools depend on these and are used to going to the file for them from their desktop not through the notes icon. Any ideas on why this is happening or how I can fix it, if I can...... Thanks.????

No idea, but it might be that V3 doesn't recognise V2.5 files directly and has to convert them "on the fly" as they load. (I'm just flying a kite here) Try opening them the conventional way through the application and then save them. They will then be true V3 files and my guess is that they will then open by a double click.

I tried that. Still won't open from the desktop. Please let me know if anyone figures this out.

Running 2.5 and 3.0 at the same time is causing some conflicts. When I uninstalled 2.5, these sticky notes opened fine with 3.0.:D
