I'm the webmaster for http://nrich.maths.org, and I've had a problem reported by one of our readers that it was impossible to access a URL with CamelCase names in it through the ActivStudio web browser.

e.g. The capital 'A' was changed to a lower case 'a' when requesting the following URL, with the result that the file would not load.

http://nrich.maths.org/content/id/2883/circleAngles.swf

Has anyone else seen problems of this nature?

I have had that happen when I've used the "link" button in the ActivStudio web browser to create a thumbnail linked object. To fix the problem, I double-clicked on the linked object (with actions disabled) and went to Properties->Actions and changed the URL back to the original. Once I set that, the linked object worked without problems.

I hope this helps!

Thanks for the heads-up on this one.
Have to admit I had to Google 'Camel Case' (aka medial capitals)
"The practice of writing compound words or phrases in which the words are joined without spaces (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whitespace) and are capitalized (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capitalization) within the compound. The term's name comes from the uppercase "bumps" in the middle of the compound word, suggestive of the humps (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hump) of a camel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camel)."
Obvious really.

This is probably due to the way the browser converts the URL, I guess that until it can (if it can), be fixed users will have to take note and edit the link accordingly
