Tickertape in V3

Hello

I'm posting a question on behalf of another user but asked her to come to the forum to check out the answer(s) - hopefully :eek:

The question is:

We have been using the new software and I have a query, please. Is there anyway you can close or move the 'bar' from the screen on the tickertape without closing it down? I have tried several things to no avail. If it could be moved to the bottom out of the way or hidden it would be great - we always want more than we get!

I did a search on Tickertape and have seen that someone has already asked the question but it wasn't answered so I'm hoping someone can say for sure now ????

Hi Laura

You can define the position of the tickertape when you set it up (top/middle/bottom) but as far as I know you can't move it when it is running, only pause it. :(

If that is incorrect someone else will come and correct me I'm sure.

That might be a good addition to the next planned version.

Are you talking about the small toolbar that appears when you have a tickertape running?

I have tried to move it tonight but it won't budge - not even in design mode! I have also been through the settings menu - nothing there either (unless I had my eyes closed!) I honestly had not really noticed it was always there, it would be good if it could be minimised or moved.

Was it the same in 2.5? I will have a look at school in the morning.

No, you can't switch off this toolbox...

This toolbox has "grown" over previous versions of the software, so it's slightly different. In version 2, for example, it didn't have the stop button or the pause button.

Just double-checked...
As you say, Tickertapes (with the fully formed toolbar) arrived in 2.5
