Resource Problem

I just got version 3, and I cannot drag anything into my resource library. Can anyone tell me why? Thanks.

Do you have the right type of Folder selected?
Text will only allow itself to be saved into the My Text folder, an image will only allow itself to be saved into the My Images folder etc. Groups of objects will sometimes only be able to be saved into My Collections if they include different types of objects, or objects created by grouping different items (lines plus fill for example)

I tried putting things in every type of folder and nothing goes in.

Have you tried being in design mode? I am not sure if it is the same in Studio but thats what you have to do in AP.

It should work whether you are in Design Mode or not...

Hi Susan,

Are you saying nothing will drag off the page to the resource library or once dragged over the resource library and dropped nothing happens?
Just try this: With a blank page drag an image on to the page from the Image library. Then try and drag it back in to the libarary. If this doesn't work then something isn't happening as it should!

Thanks for your suggestions, but nothing works. I guess I'll have to get our tech guy to figure it out.:confused:

When dropping files into the library are you offered the chance to name them? Is it that the file is simply not appearing in the library?

It might be that your resource library is 'write protected' by your system administrator. If this is the case then Activstudio will be being prevented from creating the files you are trying to drop into the library.
