Sound File Location

Hey,

Can any of you techies tell me what is the file location for the shared sounds? Everytime I click on Action object, play sound, and set, it opens up my real player files. I have opened up Activ3 and clicked on sounds, but I do not get the list given in my resource library. This is becoming a highly frustrating thing for me as I want my image to make the sound without having to click on an unattractive sound icon. Plus, it takes away the effect. Please help!!!

I am wondering if when you go to "BROWSE" for the sound to insert that you are under the Subheading of "MY DOCUMENTS." Just like in Microsoft Word how you can save files under "work files" and then into smaller folders, like "Work in January" etc, you have subfolders for Activ Studio as well. (I am not trying to talk down to you or explain this too simply, but I just want it to be simple for you if you need the basic explanation).

So, try this: when you go to insert your sound, click on the BROWSE button or the DOWN arrow to pick the file location you want... Then:

Click on "SHARED DOCUMENTS"

Click on "ACTIV SOFTWARE"

Click on "ACTIVSTUDIO2 or ACTIVSTUDIO3" (your preference)

Click on "SHARED SOUNDS"

This should be able to allow you then to select the subfolder that has your people, ELL, nature, etc. sounds.

That was it!! I needed the "shared" vocabulary to help me out. I knew it was something simple!!
