How do you click on an object, make it disappear, and have another object take it's place? Example: I want to click on a picture of a lily pad and have a number pop up.

You can make the lily pad be the middle layer.
Then you can make the number the bottom layer.
you can then make an action to bring the number to the middle layer and completely cover up the lily pad.

Conversely you can make an action to bring the lily pad to the bottom layer and hide it behind the number.

I was just reading this and love this idea. I understand the middle layer and top layer and how to change them. How exactly do you make an action?

hello,
after you have made your objects on your flipchart, you need to go to "design mode" in version 3.
Then if you double click on the object you want to make an action happen, you will see a choice with a "red check mark".
Click on that and you should see this:

I do not believe that you have to be in design mode to create an action.
Might save you a step.
