Sound Recorder Volume....Can hardly hear it!

I am in the process of making a sound recording for a flipchart. I turned up my microphone volume, the volume on the recorder, and my computer volume. Still I can barely hear the recording. Anyone know what I am doing wrong, or what I need to do right in order for me to hear the recording. Thanks! Kelly:eek:

TALK LOUDER... or get closer. :cool: Knowing you probably already tried that, it may be your mic or your speakers. If not, I can't say, but just wanted to use the bold for fun. Sorry, I am probably not much help, but I hope I at least got a grin out of you if not a smile :) .

P.S. you may want to specify what type of mic you are using.
