New to Activstudio PE

I am new to Activstudio PE and my new Promethean board. It seems that when I load a flip chart and try to click on some things page edit keeps coming up. Is there a way to stop this or some other button I need to click? Thanks

If you click on an object, but miss it and click on a space, you will bring up the Page Edit menu instead of the Object Edit menu.
Make sure you hit part of the object itself - a coloured line, or something that can't be mistaken for the background.
