Have seen various posts on here about animated gifs and have tried various things to get them to work.
I just need a really simple definitive way that I can copy and paste them and that they will work.
Is that possible?

The official line is that we don't support animated GIFs (yet).
However, try adding a video placeholder and browse for your GIF file.
It may or may not work.

I tried to drag an animated gif from an email but I couldn't get it to work. I was able to use copy and paste but it pasted the image but not the animation.
After a tip from another member, I first saved the gif as a file and then dragged the file onto a blank flipchart page. It worked fine!
So for some reason copying and pasting seems to be treated differently to dragging and dropping..
The page is attached.

Hi Rex,
Your example has not added an animated gif into the flipchart. Studio has simply converted it to an image of the first frame of the gif file.
By adding the animated gif file as a video placeholder, you might find that the animation actually happens on the flipchart page.

Nigel,
When I downloaded the above flip chart, opened it in AP3, and clicked on the image, it was animated. It was just a little slow. I think when he dragged it onto the flip chart page, he added it as a placeholder. This is the thread (http://www.Prometheanplanet.com/common/html/vb_forum/showthread.php?t=3616&highlight=animated+gif) that explains what we were trying. I uploaded a flip chart page in that thread that has several animated gifs, or should I call them movies?
