Getting on well with AS3 and like the gestures, but a couple of times as I have been writing on the board it has taken my hand movements as a gesture (and for example, changed to the pointer, or gone to the next page). Any tips as to how to avoid this?

Hi Marionsh,

The solution would be to use a gesture involving 2 flicks, such as 1010. These are harder to set going accidentally.
Unfortunately - according to another currently active thread about gestures you may have spotted - these don't seem to be active in the software... so watch this space...

Alternatively, you could change the size of your gesture area, making it bigger... I know I don't really like to play with these settings, though, once I've found some that work for me...

Hope that helps...

update: Louise has updated the other thread about gestures such as 1010, I thought I'd post it here too
"This is working but there is a knack to it!
It seems that you have to do the 1010 gesture quite abit faster than the 10 gesture. Change the speed in the gesture settings to be slower & then try it, it should work."

Thanks Simon and Louise, I've been trying again and have got the double flick working. I'd like to keep single click, so am being a little more careful when writing (it will probably improve my handwriting!).
Is it possible to turn gestures on/off withjout going into settings?

A possible improvement could be to have an option to tirn on so that it asks for a confirmation click after a gesture? Then you wouldn't change page say, unintentionally but it could still happen without going over to the toolbar.
