Time Line Feature

In Houston, at the User Group Conference, I saw a demo of the new Timeline feature in AS3. I have AS3 but can't find the timeliner. Anybody know what I'm talking about? It was a cool drag and drop feature for making timelines.

Hi,

You can find the timeline maker in your "Shared Flipchart Pages" section under Flipchart Builder-Miscellaneous tools.

If you are looking for a particular page or picture, open the resource library and click on the "search" button to find it. Here is another hint--If you think you will use the resource a lot, then put it in your personal resource library so that it will be easy to locate again. Too many resources??? Not a bad problem to have!!

The only problem is that when I use the search tool, it tells me nothing's been indexed. However, I have used the index feature and followed the directions. Hmmm...

Hi,

Did you go to the Activresource Manager (you can get there from the New/Open tab in Dashboard under Tools and Utilities) to index your resources? Make sure you have both computers for the shared resources highlighted and then click on the A-Z button. Try it again and see if that works!

I did a re-index of my resource library, like you said, but it was still being weird.

When I typed in timeline to search and hit enter, it said it found nothing. When I hit "Quick Search" it said it found nothing.
When I hit "Search" it took a bit of time, but sure enough it found the timeline feature. Enseye, maybe this is your problem?

Anybody have any idea why my quick search is not working, but the search is?

They can usually resolve the issue and will escalate it if it proves to be a bug.
