2.5 and 3.0 on same machine

I have both 2.5 and 3.0 installed on the same machine. I have moved my flipcharts from 2.5 to the 3.0 folder, but some of the flicharts still open in 2.5. Is there a way to make all of the flipcharts default to open in 3.0 or do I have to uninstall 2.5?

I have both running on my machine, I have found a work around is to go into 'My Computer' find a flipchart, right click and select 'Open with' then choose a program. Select AS 3 then at the bottom of the screen before you click ok, tick the box that says always open this type of file with this program.

That should sort it!

Open up the program settings in V3 and click the "Restore File Associations" button.

When you click this Activstudio does exactly the same thing as Lou suggests, but you don't get your hands dirty!

I noticed after installing both version on same machine, and if you are using "multi language" option ,the text tool does not work properly.

Anything you type it will vanish

Even if you type English. The only way to fix it ,is to remove tick from “Multiple Language Text Edit Support” from ASPE language settings. If you do so, you can type with English but Arabic word will be reversed in the order!

so... is there any way to fix it




and by the way when we will see the Arabic version for ASPE 3

Hi. I have a problem that’s both similar to similar and different from nickb’s. I’ve been working with AS on my laptop for 18 months now, upgraded happily to V3 and kept all my flipcharts.

I’ve recently installed ActivPrimary V3 on the same laptop, and it’s taken over! Whenever I try to open one of my own AS flipcharts, or download an AS flipchart from this site, it opens in ActivPrimary.

Has anyone else had this problem, and can it be solved? I’ll try ccoda’s suggestion, but would welcome any other advice.

The reason this is happening is because the Flipcharts will become associated with the last version of the software that you installed. In your case AP. ;)
