Hi all,
I'm hoping some clever person can help me with this. I've been making a 'Today is' chart with container folders which have all the necessary words. They are then hidden at the bottom of the screen with only a tab showing so they can be pulled up, words used, and then put away.
My problem now is that I would like a neat way to put these folders away. I orginally had snap to grid, and they would then line up neatly along the bottom of the screen. But the problem is that the contents of the sticky folder also jump about and snap to the grid when lifted up the screen. Sometimes they fall out of their container!
Any ideas? I had a play with grid designer to see if I could make a grid with just one line across the bottom but couldn't work it out.
Cheers,
Wendy

A bit tragic I know to answer my own post clwn - but I've worked out a solution using the move objects incrementally action.

And I'd been experimenting with a positioning action but couldn't get it to work  Did you manage to work out what the number was to move the box in one click?

About -330 to move it up David, then +330 to move it back to its spot. Thanks for having a go! I spent far too much time on this thing - thank goodness it's finished!

What steps did you use to create this action sequence?Did you use the "duplicate" action as well as the move incrementally?

Hi Smoser,
To move incrementally, I put it where I wanted it to be (when it popped up) then reduced the page scale to 50% and used the down arrow to move it so it was hidden off the page. Then I selected it with a double click, went to properties> actions> object position and chose position incrementally. I used the set button to find the object, then filled in the parameters.
Hope I got this right, it's been a while!

cheers
Rosie
