I've been putting together a flipchart which uses containers and gives a sound feedback for success, and I could use some help with the following questions.
(1) Is it possible to designate a blank in a line of text as a container, say for a number?
(2) Is there some way to make the sound control console not show up when a sound is played (or at least not in the middle of the page)?
(3) When I make stacks of objects (in this case it was images of numbers and container boxes), they form a line of partially-overlapping items, and it's time-consuming to manually line them up, even using the snap-to-grid function. is there some way to get the duplicates to stack directly on top of each other automatically?
I've attached a flipchart showing what I mean about the blanks and the sound control. Thanks for any help!

Not really - you could make a transparent object that acts as a container in the space though. You may also want to check out version 3 which offers a facility through Actions to dynamically change values of text boxes - which may let you make an activity with the same educational outcome.
(2) Is there some way to make the sound control console not show up when a sound is played (or at least not in the middle of the page)?
In settings there is an option to prevent the sound player appearing. Also if you drag the sound player to a different location it will open there again.

Check out the "align" options in the right click menu - expanded in V3... They will align stacks of objects if they are all selected, in various ways.

I have some answers for you:) You can use key words as containers. The item that you are containing, give it key words, I have used this and it works great. I think that for the sound box, it always comes uo, but in your profile under program settings then tool box if you uncheck follows selection, then the las place that you placed it, is where it will open. I THINK:o .
For the last question, I am not an expert at this, try Pete Lambert, he is the best:)

Ouch! I wish I had known about the "Align" option earlier! Your first suggestion sounds like it's pretty much what I did in the flipchart I attached (I think). I just wondered whether there was another way. And, as far as the sound control, I always do a search for a topic before asking a question - I forgot this time and the info was already on the forum. Thanks so much for the help, Mark!

Thanks, Heather, again! :) I am not sure what you mean by "use keywords as containers", though. I assigned keywords to my contained objects and made the containers accept only objects with specific keywords - is that what you meant? Otherwise, I'm confused.
