Spotlight and keywords

I don't know about others but I sometimes find teaching recognition of keywords quite boring so have found a good way to make it 'slightly' more exciting :cool: is to have a selection of words on a prepared flipchart page and then drag the spotlight tool around revealing one word at a time and the children call them out when they see a word - good with the Bond theme tune too!

Hi Sarah,

A variation on this.... having the words separately on each page but in a large font. Then have a shape just exposing the "top" of the word! Can the children tell you by the outline of those "peeping" letters before you expose the whole word?

Yes that's a good one too - I have done something similar using the reveal tool, revealing just a small section of the top and then the bottom of words and asked them to try to identify the word.
