 I have had a few teachers who are just starting to use AS Version 3 ask about the availability of User Guides/Manuals. Are there any in the works? Will these be downloadable?
Thanks!+wave+

I heard that the 3.0 manuals are not going to be ready before summer - so probably not until July or later. That's just what I heard. :)

There are also flipcharts available on Prometheanlearning.com that look at the new features as well as training flipcharts.

Hi all,
the UK English manuals have been out for a few weeks:
1. Visit www.prometheanlearning.com (http://www.prometheanlearning.com)
2. Click on the big image "Get the latest training resources here"
You'll be asked to register on the "course" but when you are registered you are taken to a page containing a range of version 3 training manuals and flipcharts...

Hi
Possibly an opportunity to raise awareness of the training tab in the dashboard in V3? It is possible that for those of us who have been using the software a while that we dismiss the dashboard almost immediately as we like to do "what we know!"..... the training tab is an excellent way of keeping up to date with manuals/info/support etc.
The other tabs are also worth visiting at least weekly, as these are also changing with up to date info/support/resources/ideas.
I know I was guilty of being unsure of the value of the dashboard in the early days of V3. BUT I was mistaken and now make a point of going to the various tabs whenever I can. Checking for updates is also "magic" {}

+wave+ I just downloaded the AS3 manual from the UK Prometheanlearning site. Thanks for that info, Simon. Margaret, I did look at the Training tab on the AS3 dashboard, and I saw that it offered me the option of downloading a sample of the manual, but the sample did not provide enough of the information I was looking for. I figured that a full manual was going to take a little longer to get to the US since the software really just became available to us this past month. Soon, maybe?
Thanks for all of your help everyone!

On the webpage where the version 3 AS manual is located, is stated "These comprehensive manuals consist of ten tutorials that will introduce you to some of the most important features of the software."
I know I am constantly learning about additional features, which are not mentioned in the manual, through this forum and thinking "Wow, I wish I had known that!"
Are there any plans for an advanced manual? Don't get me wrong - this forum is wonderful and visiting it frequently is very educational. But it would also be useful to have the information available in print form.

"available in print form"
...or as a digital manual.

Hi all,
There's lots of questions here, I'll try to answer them all.
Firstly, thanks for all the interest in the manuals! It is very pleasing to see that people are using them and even want more! The manuals area is very much open for grabs, especially as we develop www.prometheanlearning.com/ (http://www.prometheanlearning.com/).
US manuals
We are currenltly "translating" the Training Manuals into US English. June is the deadline. I'm sure they will be announced on the forum when they are released.
Advanced Manuals
The advanced manuals are well under way. At the moment there is some debate as to how they will be distributed, however.
Sample manual
(called Introducing Activstudio and Introducing Activprimary)
This is just a quick start guide for complete beginners, so they don't get intimidated by huge thick manuals when they first use the software... if you know anyone who's just starting out, this is the manual to give them...!
Hope that clarifies things a bit...
