I now have an Activslate. It is working fine most of the time. I plug it in to charge, but there is nothing indicating that it is, in fact , getting charged. How can I tell if it is being charged?

Hi BJ,
Since you just got the slate, do you think it's already fully charged? If you look at the icon in the very upper left of the window and you see a battery shape. If it's all dark, it's fully charged. Mine holds a charge for a long time.

That's just reminded me that my ACTIVslate needs charging - it's lasted at least 6 months!
I think the old slates used to say 'Charging' and 'Charged' but I notice (as mine is now on charge) it just shows the black battery icon repeatedly filling from white to black. Not sure what will happen once it's fully charged - I'll wait and see.

Thanks. I guess mine is still fully charged. It started acting funny and i thought that maybe it needed charging. While using the slate, it kept acting like i was right clicking everytime i used it. I guess it was just a glitch.

Hi
Just occasionally the pen needs to tune when moving from board to slate. The best advice I was ever given was to keep a pen in the slate (a holder is provided - but rarely clipped onto slates  :D ) and use one for the slate and one for the board.
Might that help? +wave+

And it does say 'Charged' when its finished.

A school I work with has some of the old black (IR) Slates and some of the newer (RF) version.
What is the advice for charging these?
I originally set up a 'charging schedule' for slates, but that hasn't been continued :(
If the battery completely discharges, can either of these Slates be revived?
Thanks,
Hilary

I have one of the older slates that requires 2 cables to charge the battery. Usually there's a battery showing that it's being charged when we plug it in. This time, it doesn't seem to be doing anything when it's plugged in. There's no signal showing that it's being charged, and the battery icon remains at the same level. Any suggestions?
