Numbered lists in Version 3

I often set a series of questions on a flipchart page, numbered 1, 2, ... and use the Tab key to make the formatting look nice.

In version 3, if I type:
1. [tab] some stuff [enter]
I see '1.1' ie, section 1.1

If I press [enter] again,
I see '1.2' ie, section 1.2

Now such terminology is rare in an educational settig. In a typical activity, what follows '1' is '2'.

So ....

if I am In creating a numbered list, what I would prefer to see when I press [enter] is nothing, so I can decide what to type next. But if I have to have something, I would much prefer to see '2' after 1, rather than 1.1. And 3 after 2, and so on.

Yes, you've found an odd exception to the auto-numbering in Activstudio. If you type

1) [tab][enter]

the 2) is generated automatically. The same with
1:
<1>

but as you say 1.[tab][enter] creates 1.1 etc
??
