I am completing a SOW on research essays and the particular section we are doing required the students to come up with key words that are searchable in Google etc. I was wondering if there could be a button on the tool menu that you could click that would bring up the internet search tool instantaneously.
Then, like in windows, you could size the window that opens and all the other searches you do would open at that size allowing one to have many searches on the screen at the same time, enabling the teacher to flick between them... THAT WOULD BE COOL - in a very eclectic way.

I think if I am not mistaken, you can place a button in your toolbox that will open straight away into google. You need to go to the toolstore to bring a button into the third column of the toolbox, right click on the button and then assign the perameters that you want gor that website. It will always go there. I also know that you can add object to the side bare, and it might be possible to place one of those buttons on that toolbox. I will have to try it and get back to you, or maybe an experst such as Peter or Margaret can help answer this question.

Yes you can add it where you like. By default it is on the special tools toolbar (hammer and spanner). However you can add it by going to Toolstore - Prom Man etc....[clap]
You can also have a selection of different options on the static upright toolbar at the edge of the page. This is particularly useful if you roll your conventional toolbar up and want access to the Voting icon for example.+wave+
You can also have a quick select menu coming up as a right click. This is an option in settings under toolbars. So you have your favourite five icons/tools available on a right click. Th "M" in the top left corner then offers you the menu for the alternative right click option.
BUT with gestures all things are also possible in a slightly different way!+wave+  :D [clap]

Hi Dawson
Here's one thing you could do ...
Open the attached flipchart. Drag the icon on to the third row of your toolbar (use the free move tool or turn actions off).

I was thinking more of something like the search space in IE7 - a simple box that you could have anywhere on the screen that you could type into and - hey presto you are then searching in a new screen!
Simple and easy... I like it that way.

I just made a little FLASH toy that will search Google or Wikipedia with any term you enter and pop it up in a new browser (attached)
A keyboard icon will allow you to use the on-screen keyboard to avoid typing.

Thank you for taking the time to create this search box. I opened your flipchart, and dragged the flash object to My Collections>Action Objects. Now I can use it anytime I need to. [clap]

Thanks, Mark for the "cool tool." I put it on my shortcut bar to add to flipcharts in designer mode.
