One thing I have noticed while using the "container object " and its ability to allow or block other objects---

1>The container "blocks" objects not allowed inside---works OK

2>While dragging objects which are "allowed" to enter the container are dragged inside, all is well .......and the reward sound and all that......

the issue starts for the following example--- multiple containers each allowing a specific object.

when the allowed object ( from its original position) is dragged into its correct container--everything is fine ........after the reward sound.......if this same object is dragged from this container ( correct container) into another container( where its not allowed to enter) the other container accepts it instead of blocking it-----------(it would have blocked the object had it been dragged from its original position...)

Has anyone observed the above? correct me if I am wrong...

Wish to have a solution......

Thank you

Hi

I think I understand what you are saying and if I do understand correctly, I think I am also correct in saying that you have only tested this on creation and not when it is being used as a teaching resource.

My experience of this container issue in particular is that yes what you report is correct, but actually in a "real life" situation in other words when it is being used for what it is intended you would never drag it out of its correct container and test it in another.

I hope I am making myself clear... The reason I can say this with some conviction is that I know I stumbled across this scenario myself and got into a muddle and actually I think I have reported this somewhere else on this forum... +wave+

Hope this answers your query and isn't too unhelpful in answering it! +wave+

Thank you Margaret ! I agree....!

My only concern was to handle situations during a customer demo-

After we demonstrate each feature and create a "WOW" effect , the customer ( mostly school teachers ) wish to come up to the board and try the feature themselves to get the real feel and be comfortable doing it..........
if , by chance, anybody tries to move the correct object from its correct container into another..........we do not want to give them a defensive answer! It would be great if the feature could cater to all scenarios like this...!

Anyway we would handle the situation till then....!

Thank you once again and expect your support..

Yes, the previously contained object may be moved to another container from its correct container! I'm not sure if this is a bug or a limitation of the container object. However, I do agree with margaret, there would be no real reason to want to move a contained object once it was "home". In your scenario I would put a Page Reset button on the page and offer to start your drag and drop activity from original positions +wave+
