I was out at a school the other day working with a group of teachers fairly new to ACTIVote. They were really enjoying it and were beginning to see the potential for use with formative assessment.

In this case they were using it with no right answer. They asked me if it was possible to change the colours of the results as the different shades of blue were very difficult to see.

Is there a way of changing colours in the results or could this be something for the future?

Not really an ACTIVstudio feature request but it does tie in clwn clwn

Perhaps when there is no correct answer, it would be clearer to show responses "by answer" instead of the pie chart. But I do agree shades of blue in the pie chart would be very helpful.

I'm keen to find an answer to this too.

If you look in the Activote training manual on page 2-16 it shows a pie chart with red and green sections implying it is customisable.

It seems to be such a fundamental feature that I can't believe it isn't possible or that it is proving so difficult to track down a solution.

Hello and welcome to the forum. I'm not certain which training manual you are referring to specifically, but when a correct answer is selected for a question that response shows up in green while the others appear in red. That is probably what was being demonstrated on that page, though I could be mistaken. I believe you can confirm this by looking along the answers at the top of the response screen and confirming that one of them is boxed or highlighted in green.

As indicated - you can highlight any sector of the chart using the A-F buttons to draw students attention.

If more colours are introduced then they may suggest they have another meaning to students beyond raw results.

When you 'paste' the chart to the flipchart you can use the fill tool to colour code it.

If you use the Activote settings on a flipchart page you can
configure it display a limited number of responses and highlight correct answers that will appear green with red when you vote.
