After spending a lot of time trying to get this work, I could not belive how simple the solution was.

I created this interactive flash review for my students taking the final exam in chemistry. This is a flash file that gets images and makes calls to an xml file to get data.

I have finally managed to make it work inside AS 2.5 in a flipchart page.

The result is great! Now I can not only make a whole class quiz review presentation..but also freely annotate over it and make many teachable moments.

Attached is a zip folder. Unzip it.
Inside the unzipped folder you will see a ffolder called fall_final_review. Inside this folder will be a flipchart file called final_review.flp

Launch this flipchart file and that is all.
Do not drag the flipchart file out of this folder to a new location. Then it will not work.

Hope you all like it.

Version 3 has "intelligent FLASH" .... basically any Activstudio function can be called from an embedded FLASH movie and a FLASH movie can also set and read almost limitless amounts of data from its host page.

If you are confident coding FLASH that employs external XML - dealing wth the FLASH programming for Acivstudio/Activprimary should not be too daunting. You need FLASH 8 though or later.

More documentation will be provided soon for developers to begin to take advantage of this power feature.
