Yesterday I was trying to demonstrate how to construct your own custom folder in which to keep your favourite/most used resources. I've done this before and I know it works but not at this school :( not in front of all the teachers  graemlins/icon_exclaim.gif

In Design mode I went into Manage Resources and on the left created my own new subfolder and called it My Stuff. I then opened up a resource folder, clicked on a resource which I would like to add to my own folder, and clicked copy. Then I opened up My Stuff folder again, clicked paste but nothing :(

I'm wondering whether it was to do with the build/version of the software which the school had which wasn't 1.2.1 but they had just applied the AP patch and restarted the laptop.

I've since done it with my own software so I know it can be done - any ideas why this wouldn't work graemlins/icon_question.gif

Thanks - Laura

Hi Laura,

The only thing that I think could have happened is that you created the folder and then didn't "relaunch" the program (AP).

When AP starts up it "builds resources" this is everything stored within the program on the relevant computer. If you do something fairly major (?!) well majorish :D then it cannot recognise this as it didn't build it into its initial boot.

Could this be it?

Well, Margaret - that certainly does sound feasible so perhaps that's what should happen. Next time I demonstrate it I'll try that and see if it sorts it graemlins/icon_lol.gif

Thanks Margaret
As it was my laptop that was being used in the demonstration, I'll have another go and see if I can get it to work now!
