ActivMarker experts

Hi folks,
I started having a play with ActivMarker today, but I'm not quite sure what I'm doing. The first time I crossed out a word and wrote a replacement above it, it paused and then replaced the word in the text (much to my surprise!) I tried it a couple more times but after the pause my annotations disappeared, but the text didn't change. On a final try, the annotation (red cross-out and word written above) appeared and stayed on the page but the text didn't change.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong? I had a quick look at the manual but couldn't find help with this.

Try a 'Search' in the forum for 'ACTIVmarker' and you'll turn up a few threads that might help explain ACTIVmarker

Sounds to me like you also had the handwriting recognition active whilst you were using Activmarker on your word document.
Activmarker just writes into Word documents, in fact it adds word pictures to the text. Each of these pictures are selectable from within Word

I tried it again at home (without anything connnected so couldn't use handwriting recognition) and it worked fine. I had another go at school today but still found that after the animation (the circle on the W thing), the annotations I had added disappeared. Never mind, I expect V3 will sort it out. (I realise I could re-install and all that, but don't use it enough to worry with only 1 week of school left!)

I have a question from a user who is trying to work with ActivMarker...So I thought I would post this...If there is an answer somewhere...we would appreciate the help!


"a square with the W (word) opens up selects the lines and then deletes them. The only way I can see what I highlighted is by saving the changes, closing the document and opening it back up. "
