I am having an increasingly recurring fault which is driving me potty!! When I use the pen to write on the board the entire screen goes white, obliterating all that goes before it. I have to click the undo button to rectify this. I normslly have the default screen colour as black. Does anyone know what is going wrong. It has happened with both of my laptops but it seems to be occurring even more with my new one!

Hi Martin,

Yes, this has come up before. I know how to fix it in ACTIVprimary, not sure about Studio though. Basically, you need to go to Menu-Studio Settings- Choose flipchart objects from the list on the left, then check if the tick boxes in the section on the right (in the high quality section) are ticked or not. As far as I can remember, the boxes for 'images' and 'lines and shapes' need to be UNTICKED. I would just consult with tech support as you do it though.

Thanks for the advice. I have unchecked both the boxes. I will let you know how well I get on.
Thanks once again
Martin

I have had this happen to me, and I was ready to blame some type of radio frequency interference, such as my mobile in my pocket. I have also had unexplained writing (just a line or a squiggle, don't go all X-files on me!) appear. Any ideas as to the cause?

Try unchecking those boxes and it should sort that out too.

If not have you got more than one pen nearby? My board gets a bit confused by other pens being too close.

Alternatively, have you got a hub attached to the computer? I had to reset the channels a few weeks ago because of a similar problem. Give tech support a ring!+wave+

Resetting board might help. Power off, wait a minute, power on. No joy? Tech support.
