Have a school with new boards (the square corner version) and two of them actually make a squeaking sound when you write on them. It's not the pens as they work fine on other boards. Has anyone else come across this?

I have found the same problem with some boards in my area. Knowledgebase suggests the following: "A polish with standard household spray polish will restore the smooth writing surface after cleaning." Has anyone tried this for a squeaky board / pen? Does it work? I guess that I'm a bit scared to put a layer of polish on the board in case . . . .

I've used Mr Sheen - it's great, the pen glides over the surface really smoothly
Takes me back to the old fingernails-on-a-blackboard days. Oh, the nostalgia...

Surely, it's the pen reverting to being a mouse! Squeak! ;)

That's what I told the school - we were going for that nostalgia chalk sound. ;)
pledge furniture polish works great too to make the pen glide smoothly!

I use baby wipes, the ones you use at nappy change.
