Does anyone know the licensing terms that the Promethean blockbusters game executable is released under? A member of staff has bought some resources and some of them are in .blb (blockbusters file) format. Can we reuse the program which opens them anywhere we like within school? What about outside school?

Thanks,

Sam

Hi Sam
We created the Activstudio version of the Blockbusters program and a company called Robert Powell publications have created lots of Blockbuster games on a variety of curriculum topics. These are probably the games your colleague has purchased.
As I understand it the Blockbusters games are sold as licensed software by RP Publcns, so if you have a site license then you should be able to run them anywhere within school. They ship a version of Activstudio that allows you to do this. If you have Activboards then your copy of Activstudio will enable you to play the Blockbuster games on your boards.
