Ticker Tapes

In the collections folder I noticed a "My Ticker-Tapes" folder- i hoped there was the facility to make scrolling text- is there?:confused:

If you select the ticker tape tool, you can make your own messages etc and save them into you tickertape collection.

If you can't find the ticker tape tool, go to the dancing man, it is the 3rd icon along. I have just found out that the tickertape also continues if you go into desktop capture mode too - cool[clap] !

Actually- i really can't find the dancing man icon- my hunt for ticker tapes goes on:o :rolleyes:

Top of the screen, the menu button in AP, where you can open new flipcharts etc. It looks like a man dancing or prancing as we say at school. If you still can't find it, email me, I will screen dump it for you.

ANother way..... type some text - go into Design Mode (Dancing Man/Promethean Man click on second icon in "his friend" you wll find the frame around the Prom Man turn red) Once in Design Mode you can right click. If you right click on your text, one of the options is to create tickertape. Hey Presto your text has now become a tickertape .....[clap]

Are you using 2.5? Is there something I haven't done?- i feel very frustrated with this- i train users on AP most weeks and i have read manuals and help guides please coiuld someone help me - further- thanks to previous replies- but for some reason adding text in design mode and right clicking does not give me a ticker-tape option.:eek:

I've just tried it in 2.5 and managed - however, you need to be using the select arrow when right clicking rather than still be in text mode - good luck. Have you managed to get the tickertape from the top menu yet?
