Hi this is my first post on here, so please be gentle!
I've found it very helpful reading other threads relating to Promthean's products etc, but couldn't find one that relates to my current problem. I am an ICT technician at a Primary school and we run AP2 on each Interactive Whiteboard computer. Most run on Windows XP, but there are some still running on Windows 2000. Every computer is connected to the school network, which itself is run on Windows 2003 Server. In the main, previous incarnations of ActivStudio/Primary have both run without many problems. But with AP2 we have experienced problems with it running slow, particularly when opening and shutting down the software. This has become more apparent since the 2.5 upgrade was installed. I have had complaints of having to endure a 3-4 minute wait when booting it up, and incidents of it hanging on the "Goodbye" screen.
I've yet to contact technical support, but wanted to see if anyone could shed any light on this problem here first. I have attempted to reinstall the software in an attempt to rectify the problem, but to no avail. With regard to the problem of it hanging when closing down, I have found deleting and recreating the users profile in Documents & Settings helps rectify the slowness. But i fear this may only be a temporary measure. If someone can shed any light on these problems. I would be most grateful! Thanks.
