There is an American addition and subtraction ACTIVPrimary flipchart (created by Kathy Adkins) in the Activote resources (primary section) that is based on space which has a couple of features I didn't think existed!

You can click on an object and a pice of text is revealed (e.g. with the correct answer on).
Answers are dragged to the correct boxes and won't go in if they're wrong.

I'm not so interested in the second one, but the first would be great. I've gone in to object properites and in the actions section it says Object Text23 (which is the identification of the text that appears) but I've no idea how it's done. If anyone knows I would be very, very grateful!

File attached in case you can't find it!

Thanks! ????

I love the right/wrong answer thing that's amazing - I want to be able to do that too!!! I have had a look around the flipchart but I can't work it out either.
As for the reveal the right answer - I think I know how to do that - will post back in a bit when I have remembered!

Ok well I have figured out 1 way to do it - not the best way I am sure but it will work. You need to make the page and then duplicate it making sure the number for example is behind the square. Then on the second page make sure the number is in front of the square. Then set the object properties so that when you click on the square the action is to go to p2 - which is an exact copy of p1 but with the answer revealed. Just tried it and it works but long winded.

Thanks Lou - I'd thought of that, but really want to know about that object actions bit! Someone will know...

Developer - There are some more such like examples in the Developer bit of the forum. In Developer you can add all sorts of actions to objects - like make something reveal something else - is that good english? A container will only contain a certain object and "return if not contained!"....

Does that help?

Just checked out the Developer flipcharts - I am going to have to start saving I think - that will bring another new dimension to my flipcharts - oh I can't wait! I already know how I am going to develop a couple of my existing flipcharts!

Will the flipcharts I make using the DE work on all our school pc's?

Ah, I see! I was under the impression that it was an ACTIVPrimary flp - does that mean it was created in ACTIVPrimary then edited in Developer - as I think Developer is a Studio tool?

Or am I talking rubbish?!

Hiya,

Activprimary Activstudio Activstudio Developer Three levels - all are interchangeable. Create something in Developer (DE) and it can be opened by AS and AP. The point being that there is likely to be a limited number of people using DE to develop resources within a school. In the dim and distant past I seem to remember volunteering you as a possible BETA tester.... is this gone from your memory  [clap] You are considerably younger than me! That gives me hope [clap]

Anyway, where was I? Oh yes.... but as Pete has put it in the following thread this has now changed a bit!!

It does ring dim and distant bells - I remember finding it difficult to get to grips with the Studio environment! But my memory is never good, if that gives you faith in the youth of your own grey cells!
