Some useful information maybe for any Keyspan users upgrading to new laptops.
Using Keyspan USB/Serial adapter on brand new Toshiba Satellite Pro L20 Pentium, the handwriting tool does not work at startup. Turn the board off/on then it works. Also intermittent startup problems with board not recognised, and during use the board seems to stop working. Turned off all laptop system standby/power saving. Support suggested later driver 3.0.6 which I installed but similar problems remain.
In the end I have moved to USB cable which seems to have resolved the problems.
I assume the board serial connection via USB/serial and this Toshiba may well have problems communicating at some/all times.
