I've tested the intel version of the driver for the Macbook pro and it works great except for the voting doesn't work yet using Mac Software.
I also Installed Windows XP Using Boot Camp on the Macbook pro and then install the Active Studio software for Windows version 2.5. and Everything works. One machine with both pieces of software for the whiteboard work great.
Nice Job..

Where did you find the Intel for Mac driver?

I'm a Promethean trainer and they sent it to me to test

Hi Mark (or anyone else who may know the answers to these questions)
We are thinking of getting the intel macs. Do you know if the voting works with them yet? Does AS run any quicker on them?

There is a new patch online
http://www.prometheanworld.com/n-america/en/html/customer_care/software/studiomacx2.shtml
that loads the drivers for the Intel Mac machines. Right now, it still does not allow voting. Check the release notes on the above page for specifics.

Kathy, how long do you think it will be before voting will work on the Intel Macs?

I am not in the programming department. I can tell you that the programmers are working on it, but I can't give a timeline. (My husband is a programmer--not for Promethean. His standard answer to that question is "when it works correctly.")

Voting will be introduced in 2.5 soon. As said in a previous thread, the intel version of osx is a completely new operating system so not just a tweak.

What's the latest on the Native Intel version of ActivStudio? I am still looking forward to it to get rid of a) very long AS2 startup times, b) Hardware not Recognised (occasionally!) and c) bits of writing/annotation "going missing" issues.

On a side note, I have run ACTIVstudio2 on a mac in Windows, using parallels. I have been able to get my ACTIVpod to get rid of the watermark but have not had a chance to connect to a board as I have been soooo busy!
It all works. Voting, Handwriting Recognition, etc...
