Has anyone got a copy of it as i had the new one uploaded last week and i really dont like it!! It deleted the old version off my pc and i want it back, has someone got a copy of it they can either send me or tell me where i can get it!!! It would be much appreciated, Oli

Just asking as I got AS2 before the rest of my department and they were really loathe to change as they knew exactly how it worked etc but once they did and got to grips with it none of them would go back to AS1 now.

Ive had a good play and i really dont like it, i tried to customise my toolbox and it wouldnt, i cant get it to work and the board needs calabrating every time i open the program up when i used to do it on a monday, Want old one back

Sound's like you might need to call tech support. You might make sure you have the latest drivers installed.

Yep I agree with Mike, those are technical problems not AS2 ones. The customised tool bar is easy to do and works just fine and there are loads more options than on AS1. If I calibrate my board once a term it's a lot!

Pleeeeease don't go back to AS1. AS2 has so much more to offer. I agree, that there is a steep learning curve getting used to the differences between them, but it really is worth persevering. I don't know where you live, but feel sufficiently strongly about it, that if it were somewhere close, I'd be happy to come and help you. (Although if it were NZ, I'd be happy to come and help you if someone would pay my airfare!!)

I can guarantee that it is because your network administrator has locked down some access you have to the registry/profile path. It simply sounds as if your system isn't letting ACTIVstudio save its settings.

If your IT support can't see what is going on then they are welcome to contact us at technical support for as much advise as we can offer.

OK, i have had a go today! and i do like it, i have sorted the toolbar out, i just want to know what the red dice does and what can it be used for? i also have a queery, my board is calibrated but my writing joins up, im other words is i hover the pen over the board it writes and doesnt just move, Help me,

I Also found out my department is moving floors after the holidays, my current board it three years old and the room im going to has a brand new one in where the board is smaller but the screen is all taken up and there is no black oval sensor, WOOO, so i mabye fixing this toolbox then i have to do it again:mad: oh well

Hi Oli,

It sounds like your current board needs a firmware update. If you are not UK you will need to establish which version your board has. Right click on bottom right hand corner icon in taskbar when board is attached.

BUT if you are moving rooms/boards then maybe it will not matter.... The issues you are describing are definitely board related and not software though!

The red dice just click on this icon and you have the choice of 1-5 dice rolling. Great for random number generating or playing additon/subtraction/multiplication/division games.

I use the dice in plenaries.

Give all the kids a number 1-6, roll the dice and then anyone with that number has to give me a fact that they've learnt that lesson.

They'll tell you not to do this - but I'm bad! :cool: - take the nib out of the pen and stick it in upside down - this stops the squiggles appearing. Promethean reckon there is a right and wrong end but to be hoenst looking at my pen I'm begagred if I can tell which way up it is! +wave+ :eek:

Hi,

Dice rolling which is the Activstudio function. I have created a dice rolling game flipchart though it is working fine in Activstudio professional edition/Activstudio version 3. But this is not working in Activstudio Student Edition or Activstudio version 2.

My Query is that dice rolling function can work in Activstudio Student Edition or it does not work in older version.
