For the latest version:

http://www.prometheanworld.com/n-america/en/html/customer_care/software.shtml
and follow the directions.

Some of the pens of the older type have problems. Ours were still under warranty and are being replaced. Check with your supplier.

Hi Oliver

For AS2 - you will need to fax an order through to Blackburn as AS2 is not a download but is a significant install. There will be a £20 (UK!) upgrade fee but that is the whole school licence.
01254581574 for UK Fax No.

If you are in another country... then your supplier will need to intervene although you can try contacting Blackburn.

As far as your pen goes.... obviously after five hours it is too tired to carry on....

:D only joking... There is no way this should happen and so Mike's advice is good. Contact technical support - details top right corner of this page.

Is the problem that the board 'sees' the pen and the cursor follows it across the screen but won't allow any actions to be performed?

I have tried using the new pens (the ones with clicking nibs), the newer pens (the ones without clicking nibs) and an old black pen and have had problems with all. I'm currently on my 5th pen since September. Pleased I am not alone.

Guys make sure your drivers are up to date. The latest version is 3.0.5(PC).

Did you know that the board learns the pen?

Sometimes, you might have to pause and hover your pen over the board for a few seconds and it will "learn" it again. 3-5 seconds.

Give it a try...... :D If it doesn't work, contact technical support.

OOPS I just reread the first post: Oliver, Using AS1 might be a problem as well as you needing to upgrade your firmware(I am guessing that you have a 75" board.)

Order AS2 (http://www.prometheanworld.com/n-america/en/html/solutions/AS2order/index.shtml)

I have the latest drivers on my Mac, I have updated the firmware and I still have the problem. As well as the pens cracking between the ring and the button which also seems to inhibit the action of the button.

Mike,

Call technical support. You will also have to speak to them about your pens...they have a 1 year warranty.

Sometimes that is the case. The pen is moving but nothing is happening! Sometimes I can't erase... Sometimes I have to click on the pen icon 3 times even though it seemed to have switched to pen before it changes from arrow to pen.

Did that. They are on the way.

By the way AirSkeeter, I managed the solve the board problem we discussed by fixing the permissions on the computer. [clap]
