Opening SMART notebook files

We have SMART users that want to convert to Promethean without losing all the Notebook lessons formerly created. What file extensions will 2.5 open? I've been able to open .xbk but not any .xbt or .nbk.

Currently only xbk files can be opened in studio
nbk are smart v7 files - if you open them in a later version of smart & resave them as xbk files then these can be opened in studio
xbt files cannot be opened in studio either - could one way round this to be to save the pages as a notebook & then open the notebook in studio?
