Flash Player in AP2.5

I have successfully used the embeded flash player in AS2.5 with ITPs from govt site. My children have made stuff in flash 8 which won't play. Right clicking on embedded flash player says Flash Player 5.

Is this the reason - if so, can embedded player be updated (I have latest version in my browser but doesn't seem to influence AP)

I've been in contact with the techs and they are releasing a new patcher... that does not install the ancient version of Flash (I hope) and that should sort things out.

I've not had chance to try the embedded flash files in the new version however...

In the meantime there are some great flash based flipcharts (not currently embedded) on a website which is authored (hosted?) webmastered? - not sure of the verb :rolleyes: by Dan Bunker one of our Teaching and Learning Advisers.

I'm still rolling out 2.5 as we have only had the error with Flash and I know that will be addressed soon. As its me that gets the fun job of upgrading all the laptops and desktops in the school, I can put up with holding down IGNORE until its finished installing ;)
