View Full Version : V2.5 Fails Install on Tablet PC
We have tried to upgrade the ACTIVstudio, ACTIVprimary and ACTIV flipchart viewer to the current v2.5 versions. Each of the products fails during registration as it tries to write to the Registry entries for Flash. This problem does not occur on our normal PCs. Any ideas.

keep clicking ignore, or make sure that flash 8 player is installed on the tablet
Thanks for the reply. Flash Player 8 is installed and I did keep hitting Ignore. I then checked the registry and the usual entries for ACTIV studio for those keys are missing. Will this affect the operation of the programs especially flash items?

it should be fine, but if you do experience problems then a new version that will hopefully fix this will be on the website soon.
i should also make you aware of a file called "regfiles.vbs" in the support/promethean utilites folder on the CD, this will register the required flash files if you run into problems.

I've done the "keep hitting ignore" trick however, I noticed that ACTIVstudio then refuses to run under any non admin user. I've called tech support and we tried all the registering of DLLs and OCXs to no avail.
Finally we found that it was a bug with 2.5.34 and so I am running 2.1.34
