I have a Powerpoint presentation with a hyperlink to a video clip. When the clip runs, Windows Media Player starts up on laptop and whiteboard. The video then displays on the laptop, but not the whiteboard. is there a graphics setting that needs tweaking?
Many thanks in advance for any help!

I know that this happens alot with ours- especially with DVDs showing on the monitor rather than via the projector- and yes, there is a tweak. Sadly this is where I'm less confident- partly because I think the tweak varies according to what sort of video hardware /software exists on the individual computer but we tend to sort it by either changing display settings in the control panel or right clicking the little monitor/display icon on the task bar (bottom right of display) and accessing the settings that way. We adjust settings for 'dual-display' or 'clone' display so that one display acts as the 'primary' display. This probably isn't very useful and I'm sure someone will come up with clearer instructions. Good luck.

Many thanks for that, I found that the RM laptop being used has no dual/clone feature as on other lappies we use. So I tried changing from a 16 bit to a 32 bit display- (just for kicks- as you do!) and it worked! Don't know why, but not that bothered, as long as it works okay!
Thanks again

Glad to've been of assistance. I've no idea why what you did worked... but such is the way of these things.

There is also a setting in the WMP settings and the Display settings that you can change...

This link gives two ways of solving the issue:
