Hi,

I know this might be a long shot, but we seem to be having random restarts with our machines that are connected to whiteboards that have the com port connector, which has the power going into the connector. The other computers which have the USB style connector are running fine.

The computers that keep restarting were working fine when they were in our prep lab, in which they were being imaged.

I will try and locate the fault by disconnecting items from the PC and reconnecting them.

Can the com port be easily changed into the USB style?

Regards

Andy

You should ring tech support if you don't get much luck here :)

To change to USB just connect the cable before powering the board (if your installation allows this easily). However, I think you need to find out what is going wrong, it just might turn out that the connection method is not the real issue. I suggest you contact tech support to help you sort it.

This seems to be sorted after I upgraded the driver on the machines with the serial style connection.:-/
