Hi,

I've had the same problem on two PCs this morning following the update to AS2.5.

When writing on the board, nothing was appearing until you selected the mouse pointer function and clicked somewhere on the screen. It was like writing in invisible ink !

I have solved the problem temporarily, though. It turned out that both PCs had the 'Lines and Shapes' box ticked in the Flipchart objects section in the studio settings, which I've now cleared to remedy the problem.

Is this a bug in 2.5 or a localised problem? If it's a bug, will it be fixed soon?

this is a bug & is fixed in the next release.
It only happens on certain pc's & as you rightly point out it won't happen with the high quality setting switched off.

the patch is still on the UK website. maybe it was removed from the US site only? there are quite a few bugs, so might it have been removed because there's quite a few?

i dont think it's for me to say why the file isnt available to download, but as louise said, this "bug" can be fixed by unticking "high quality lines and shapes" in the flipchart objects setting. Or by going to windows display properties->settings->advanced->troubleshoot and turning the acceleration down a few notches (this method is more complicated but you still get the nice smooth lines in the software)

..and once the patch is back on the website then it will be the version that includes the fix for this problem..

When I posted before, I had just uninstalled 2.5 and was going back to reinstall it. The teacher is happy to have 2.1.34 for the time being...
