I am trying to insert a powerpoint into a flipchart, but when I am finished viewing the powerpoint I can not get back to my flipchart. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for the help!

Why not just import the Ppt into your flipchart? You can then build up the interactivity - adding in all sorts of other ActivStudio goodies.. +wave+

How have you inserted the PPT? I assume you've assigned it as an action to an object or by right-clicking the screen and inserting an image object. Either way, I just tried and the resulting action object took me to the PPT file all loaded up (but I had to hit F5 to enter the slide show - there may be a command line parameter that we can type in to fire up the slide show automatically).
To get back it seemed to be the same as to get back from any other program - i.e. click on the minimised ActivStudio window in the taskbar at the bottom of the screen, then a (slightly irritating) second click on the flipchart button on the Promethean toolbar.

I also tried importing the PPT into AS2.5 and was a little surprised that the work is only imported as screenshots. I had assumed that all lines, rectangles, text etc. would be editable, although I knew of course that they wouldn't have transitions attatched.

Whilst I was at it, I also tried loading a SMART notebook file into AS2.5 and I am delighted to say that it did a brilliant job. Not perfect...
- stacked objects got put in the wrong sequence so that an object that was at the back in SMART was in front in Promethean
- (being extremely picky) writing that fitted in a shape in SMART was too large for the shape in Promethean
- vector objects in SMART were deconstructed and blocky in AS2.5

...but extremely good, and would save someone converting one to the other A LOT of time. Now I wonder if SMART can read Promethean files???

...just tried converting PPT and AS2 files into SMART v9 and the answer to both questions is a resounding NO! So it's 2-0 to the good guys!!!

You go into studio settings and go to the linked file hosting page. Select the PowerPoint box and it will open up inside of your flip after you select OK to exit out of the studio settings.

In the new SMART software you can convert ppt and flp files into Notebook, don't know if it accepts AS2
