When using the camera tool I usually have the 'include toolbars' setting turned off. This takes a photo of the screen minus the toolbars (obviously). I've noticed that under AS2.5 when taking a snapshot of a flipchart, a blue rectangle with 'Area' in it stays visible and is photographed wherever the camera button is.

I'm not getting this on three different installations. Anybody else?

JPG Screenshot attached. It's not my imagination. The toolbox goes but not the blue 'Area' rectangle that you click on.

Weird! Let's hope someone from Promethean has the solution.

Hi GEC,

You are not the only one with this bug - It happens to me too!

I've just realised how daft I was. That was a screenshot of the bottom RIGHT hand corner. Thanks to all for not pointing that out to me!
Glad (in a way) that I'm not the only one. It's so much better to share I find!

This is a tooltip bug and has been identified to be fixed for the next maintenance release along in a few weeks.

In the meantime the workaround is to choose the Camera tool/Area when the toolbox is far away from the area you wish to snapshot!

There is a way to stop this from happening..

go into display settings - Appearance - Effects.
Change the transition effect for menus & tooltips.

This is only a problem when this is set to fade effect, so change it to something else & this will stop it happening until we can find a fix for it - which is proving elusive at the moment & isn't in the next release.
