Any ideas what ACTIVmarker does? It's in ACTIVextras. There seems to be no help file for it.

Incidentally, I've just done a new install of another board in school and the help files don't seem to be working at all. You click, it pauses and then nothing happens.

Any ideas for either query?

I love ActivMarker - such a simple little device! If you enable it you are then able to write over other programmes. The way I use this is if pupils have emailed me work to mark - I plug in my ActivTablet, enable the ActivMarker then I can annotate on top of their work - the annotations then save onto the pupils' work. Magic! +wave+

Sounds great. And what about ACTIVpage Picker? If I'm honest, that was the one I meant to ask about - ACTIVmarker is explained in Help but Page Picker isn't.
Great to hear that ACTImarker is useful though. I'll give it a go.

about the help files
check the regional settings of the pc - it may be set to half US & half UK..Depending on the OS there are a couple of different places in the regional settings that it has to be set in & by default (especially XP) it defaults to a mixture of UK & US
set it to be wholly UK & then install the UK help files from the cd or off the website & it should find them fine.

I don't suppose you'd know where to look do you? Are you talking about regional settings in AS2.5 or of the PC itself? It's a Windows XP machine. I can look under Regional and Language Options in the Windows Control Panel, but I know that you have to set the language a couple of times during an AS2 install (an upgrade) so I'm guessing you mean here somewhere. If so, I don't know where to look.
Thanks Louise.

It would be nice if the ActivMarker made it into the Mac version :-/
As well as the PagePicker

Page Picker - as far as I can see - is a tool to help you create a new flipchart made up of pages from several others. You could always do this by using the Page Selector and opening two flipcharts at the same time, AND making sure they were both visible on screen. The more convenient Page Picker works the same way something like Nero works - you assemble your compilation in the big window and then save. I hope! Probably quite useful - and certainly quick.+wave+

I mean check the regional settings on your pc in control panel - on XP the ones to check are that it is set to UK under regional options & advanced

Page picker has its own separate help file - open the application and click the help button.

I did - nothing happened I'm afraid!

Same with me, but it is actually quite straightforward - when you click on a folder containing the flipcharts you want to pick pages from, each flipchart appears as a little thumbnail in the lower part of the screen, Clicking on the desired flipchart opens all the pages in that one. You can then pick your pages. To open another flipchart, click on the folder again.
I used it first yesterday and it saved me loads of time.
Hope this makes sense.
