ACTIVstudio users might be interested to know that there is now information about Developer Edition on the Promethean website (http://prometheanworld.com/uk/html/uksolutions/products/activstudiodev.shtml)
It is to be officially launched at the Eduction Show in Birmingham (9-11 March) so I guess we may not be able to get hold of it until then.

This looks interesting, but how will it work alongside Active PE on a network? Anyone know yet?

It's not really desgned to be networked. From what I know of it you will receive only 2 licenses per copy. One for home and one for work. Additionally it is designed for VERY experienced users who regularly design interactive flips. The cost per unit is likely to mean thar networking is not an option. That said it is a STUNNING product and I'm sure lots of people will want to get their hands on it!

Yes, but will it work If I have it on my laptop, to prepare resources (as I'm supposed to be doing as part of my job:rolleyes: ), and then I plug my laptop into the school network? I already have problems because the network version and the laptop version is not the same - the layout file gets corrupted. Is this likely to cause me more problems? Developer sounds like something I should really be using.

Don't know about plugging your laptop in to the network... I don't do it that way - I prepare flips in AS DE at home and either email them to myself at school or save them to a USB key. They work fine on our school network. AS DE is a fab product .... [clap]

I phoned Promethean yesterday (Wednesday) and wastold by the sales team that it had been delayed again!!!

Developer Edition is being promoted on the Website as part of the Marketing Campaign. It will be shipping in the next couple of weeks.

Even your TLA who knows most things :D hadn't known DE was so close to launch :o so contacting me wouldn't have helped!
