Hi - I wonder if anyone can help.

I have spent a while developing a flipchart in ActiveStudio. After saving the file onto our school network earlier today, I received the error message "Error opening flipchart: 2". This error message is also displayed whenever I wish to open the backup copy that I made.

The flipchart no longer opens and I am very scared in case I have lost all of my hard work! The file is 3.38Mb but I have previously worked with files of this size and it hasn't been an issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'd really like to recover this file if possible!

Cheers,

K

Which version of studio were you using to create it?
I take it your backup version is local so that it isn't just that you've lost connection with the network??

If you are still having problems with it then upload the flipchart onto the forum & I'll see if I can open it.

I have a flipchart that opens to about 90%. Then I get "Error Opening Flipchart."
Any ideas as to what I can do? Any ideas what happened so I'll make sure not to do whatever again?
Thanks,
Myra

Try posting it here to see if others can open it!

Sorry. I tried for you on my Mac and it said the file was corrupted.

I also had error 2. This suggested that one or more of the files in the flipchart were corrupt.

To fix this, I opened the flipchart in WinZip and removed the corrupted file (Winzip told me which one).

So try the attached flipchart. If you look on page 23 a missing image is shown by a red cross. Delete the red cross and try adding the image again. Everything else in the flipchart looks OK to me.

Sorry about this but sometimes files can get corrupted for all kinds of reasons and I really cannot say what might have caused this issue for you.

But hopefully this reply will help others in similar circumstances.
