After I install the ACTIVstudio Software, when I double click the ACTIVstudio icon on the desktop, it gives me the following error message
"Problem with temporary working folder : c:\docume~1\locals~1\temp\activstudio 2\
Please check that you have full access rights to Windows Temp folder"
Since it is the administrator account, it does full access to all the folders. I still dont understand why it gives me this error. Can someone please help me as soon as possible!!!!!! Thanks in advance.

I have exactly the same problem on a laptop. I've re-installed the PX 3.2.9 software three times, but it makes no difference. Additionally, I've tried under Administrator (local), Administrator (domain), user (local) and user (domain) accounts, but it gives exactly the same error each time, apart from the fact that the path to the temp folder is different depending on the account.
Has anyone got a fix for this?
Thanks in advance,
Styx

Hi
We prefer to deal with problems of this type through our technical support team. Eyes right and up a bit will see the relevant link.
It is hard in this environment to offer support, when so many "other" factors could be affecting the results you are describing.

I dug a bit deeper into when the problem first arose. It seems that ActivPX was working fine until some Digital Blue camera software was installed, at which point the error you posted above started to happen. I performed a WinXP restore to the point just prior to the Digital Blue software installation and ActivPX now seems to work fine.
It also seems that post-Digital Blue install, the calibrate function fails with an ActiveX error:
Runtime Error 429: ActiveX component can't create object
I don't know whether this is directly the cause of the ActivPX failure, or whether it's just another symptom. It was also fixed by doing a restore, though, but I'd really like to be able to have both ActivPX AND Digital Blue on there at the same time...
