Seriously... if you explain what you mean I might be able to help, but not sure I understand the question.... :( now is that because I used to be in Cumbria, or because I no longer do!!clwn

As far as I am aware we do not support the ability to align text to a curve or other shape. It is a nice to have feature so maybe should be added to the feature request forum.
If we do support this then I am sure others will comment and correct me.
One way if you really want to do this would be to deconstruct text and manually align to your curve, not ideal but a workaround.

Hi,
I believe the technical term is "text on a path". The effect is very easy in applications like Photoshop, but I agree with Cliff, I don't Think that ACTIVstudio supports it. This may be an interesting tool to introduce in a future release.
Basically you draw a path in Photoshop with the pen, use the horizontal text tool, move the cursor close to the path and it changes a little, click and start typing and the text follows the line.

I haven't seen any option for it in ACTIVstudio. I use Macromedia Fireworks MX - it's easier to use than Photoshop (if you're not graphically minded).

fireworks is more vector based, ideal for activstudio and web graphics ;)
i used to be a 3d modeller, photoshop is more intuitive for creating textures and bitmaps

Hi Stuart, are you saying that drawing graphics for import into ActivStudio is best done in Fireworks? Does that apply to photographs too, or just to line drawing?

I don't know how people in the U.K. feel about Mircosoft products, but you might get the effect you want from Word Art in their Office suite. Create it and then copy and paste into your flipchart.

i'm saying that any program that creates vector graphics will be great for version 2.5 of our software. It will now support this graphic format meaning you can resize them up to fit the entire board and you won't lose any image quality through pixelation.

Can't wait now
I use Fireworks ALL THE TIME to re-draw hand-written diagrams, etc. Will vector images be able to be saved in the Resource Lib. and still be vectors? :D That'd be perfect - I'm fed up of saving all my drawings in My Documents.
