Hi

Keep your eyes and ears to the ground as we are proposing a really exciting new project which we want you all to be involved with.....

With this in mind, if it is a while since you updated your personal details/info on the details section of the forum think about updating it. It is really helpful for us to know where in the country you are for example, or what your main interest/subject is.

I know when I first joined the forum the details I submitted were minimal but I have since offered a few more details which means that if necessary they are available for people to view.

Another example is that the default setting on joining is that you don't get emails from other forum users. I have had several really interesting emails from people who wanted info on a more personal/specific issue and this can also be helpful....

Click on User CP to do this....

Sounds intruiging....
How will it differ from the Forum and Shared Resources area on the main site? Or is it still a secret! ;)

According to what exists of the website so far, it's going to be extra IWB resources (plus discounted materials for those that aren't free), along with newsletters!! I hope there's something for FE

Like Sarah, I hate to miss out so I've signed up too! But then I did see the magical word "discounted"!

Can someone have a look at the drop-down list of institution types on the registration page please? Secondary 11-18? FE & HE 18+? Not in this neck of the woods!

Thanks for signing up - all you wonderful "regulars" [clap]

It's not really a huge secret, but what we want to do is harness the enthusiasm that you lot in particular have displayed. We are creating a website especially for you that is all about using the kit and not about the corporate message. The idea is that you can go here and find stuff you need. Honestly, we are hoping that you experienced users will post stuff that others will need!

So, the forums will migrate to the new site, the resources, the updates, training stuff, the latest release news etc. We hope to try to create an online users "club" if that is the right word. More your site than the Promethean Corporate website.

So any suggestions for what you would like to see would be gratefully received!

In the meantime I have uploaded here the "ultimate" revealer magnifying glass - unless of course YOU can do better! The erase area on mine overlaps the border a bit.
Just drag it on to the quick launch (3rd) toolbar row.

Apologies but love tinkering. I've sorted your problem with the eraser overlapping the image a bit for you :)

Great! I think I was the first to suggest the use of a "magic spyglass" as I call it, in a map based context - see http://www.prometheanworld.com/common/html/vb_forum/showthread.php?t=1013&highlight=simplicity

and have shown it now on so many occasions when training - both with maps and in other scenarios. It never fails to impress, because teachers can see the learning potential in being able to overlay the maps to reveal another underneath.

Well, assuming I am able to follow the directions given in the "ultimate revealer" (I normally rely on GPS!) see you there tomorrow!!
