Think we need further details in order to help - what model of ActivBoard do you have, are you receiving an error message on screen or is it just that the ActivManager icon on the panel has a red cross through it?

Also please can you go to Applications > System Tools > ActivAid, select the "Diagnostics" icon and this will produce a tar file that contains your system details and other info that will enable us to advise further.

Please upload this file to the forum.

Many Thanks

At first glance everything looks ok and I can see when the ActivBoard has been connected and disconnected.

I can see that you have the ActivDriver installed but you have not installed our software ActivInspire yet.

A couple of questions for you to answer,

1) What model of ActivBoard do you have?
2) Does the ActivManager icon on the panel have a red cross through it?
3) If you select the ActivManager icon and select "Control Panel", do you see anything listed in the "Hardware" Tab? If so please upload a screenshot.
4) Has moving the ActivPen on the ActivBoard ever moved the mouse pointer?

So basically the ActivDriver/ActivManager is not detecting the ActivBoard.

More questions for you...

Was the ActivBoard working before upgrading the firmware?
How is the ActivBoard connected? Serial or USB?
What length is the cable?
Are you using USB extenders?
Is the light in the top left corner of the ActivBoard lit - if so what colour is it?
Does this ActivBoard work on other computers?

Please can you disconnect the USB from the computer, recycle the power to the ActivBoard and then try connecting the ActivBoard without the use of extenders, so just with a standard USB cable?

If this does not resolve the issue, can you remove the ActivDriver via Package Manager, reboot and then reinstall making sure that you are pulling the ActivDriver from the following repository...

deb http://activsoftware.co.uk/linux/repos/ubuntu jaunty oss non-oss

The following device is the ActivBoard...

Bus 003 Device 003: ID 0d48:0001

So the good news is that the system is seeing the ActivBoard.

The jpeg you have attached is showing the Ubuntu driver and NOT Prometheans and I cannot see the ActivManager icon on the panel bar.

You need to disconnect the ActivBoard, open Synaptic Package Manager and install ActivDriver/ActivTools, reboot the system and then reattach the ActivBoard.

Failing this, it maybe easier to contact Promethean Technical Support via telephone as it will be quicker to offer suggestions.
