Importing resource pack

Ok, I need some help. I am taking a course on ACTIVinspire and I need to upload a resourse pack. I downloaded it and saved it to my documents. The directions say "Once you've saved the resource pack to your hard drive, import it by going to File, Import Resource Pack to Shared Resources."
This is not working, I have had all sorts of problems with the new software. I have both on my laptop, could this be par tof the problem also? Studio usally pops up when I go to open a flipchart.

With both Studio and Inspire installed, right click the resource file and use the open with command. Then select Activ Inspire. The file will then be imported into your personal resources, or into the shared resources depending on your choice. Make sure you know where the resources are going to be installed. This is usually found on the page that you downloaded the resource pack from.

Are you doing this with ActivInspire open? What actually happens when you follow these steps?
This process normally runs very smoothly - the only problem sometimes is finding the newly-installed resources.
They may already be in your Library, and you just need to search for them.
With earlier versions it was sometimes necessary to close and re-launch the application for the new files to show up in the Library - don't think that is required in Inspire.
